• basics: baron helmut zemo, actual royalty, hailing from the fictional country of sokovia (Соковиja). sokovia is nestled between the czech republic and slovakia and has its own language, culture, and history. acting in an antiheroish capacity these days.
• appearance and impressions: 5'9", early 40s, brown hair and eyes. speaks with a vaguely slavic accent. moves, dresses, and conducts himself with a certain poshness and sophistication.
• abilities: fluent in multiple languages and disciplines ranging from firearms, engineering, acrobatics, explosives, spycraft, and computer science. highly intelligent, thoughtful, and methodical. probably a terrifying man to know, yet seems rather toothless standing beside a century-old assassin.
• what's his deal?: he's a wealthy sokovian aristocrat-turned-intelligence-officer. served as commander to a covert death squad that likely oversaw acts of extrajudicial murder, disappearances, and destabilization of other governments and organizations. after the avengers levelled the sokovian capital, he pulled the bodies of his wife and son out of the rubble and dedicated himself to breaking up the mcu's OG boy band. (he succeeded.) outside of serving time for terrorism, seemingly enjoys car collecting, fine food and drink, and casual jaunts Doing Some International Crime for fun.
